Huntingdonshire District Council
COMMUNITY SAFETY TEAM LEADER
2-YEAR SECONDMENT
£22,917 – £28,647 per annum
Crime and disorder is the number one issue that the public are concerned about. In Huntingdonshire we are working to make a difference – to reduce levels of crime and disorder and anti-social behaviour and ensure that the community feels safe.
A vacancy had arisen for a secondment in the Environment and Transport Division as Community Safety Team Leader, as the current post holder is being seconded for 2 years to the National Community Safety Network.
This secondment offers a valuable development opportunity for an enthusiastic, up and coming manager. The work is varied and covers: working across the council and with other agencies in the Huntingdonshire Community Safety Partnership to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour and increase public reassurance; managing the CCTV control centre and operation of CCTV across the district; and planning for and responding to civil emergencies in the district, such as flooding.
We are seeking a highly motivated graduate with at least 5 years relevant managerial experience with the skills needed to deal with a demanding and varied workload. You should possess excellent communication skills and have experience of change management, problem solving, project management, negotiating and influencing.
We want to make a difference to the lives of people in Huntingdonshire by creating safer communities and we are looking for a dynamic Community Safety Team Leader to drive forward this work.
For an informal discussion please contact Sonia Hansen on 01480 388341
