'Guide to Community Safety Legislation and Policy' - An NCSN induction guide for practitioners

This overview of community safety legislation and policies was commissioned by Government Office for the South East in December 2006. It is designed to provide greater detail on the information on legislative and policy matters contained in the NCSN Introduction to Community Safety (2007). Its aim is to provide community safety
practitioners with a resource that can be used either as a quick overview of the legal
and policy background to their work, or as a more detailed source of reference, with information on where to find more guidance.

An Induction to Community Safety (2005)

For everyone working in the community safety field, particularly members of Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs), the National Community Safety Network (NCSN) and the Government Office for the South East (GOSE) produced the original 86-page resource pack in 2005.

Broken down into twelve sections, the pack was written to give a succinct introduction to the key issues in community safety, and contains useful website links to further information.
