New Crime Strategy - April 2008

The new Crime Strategy commenced in April 2008, setting out a new direction for crime reduction in a number of key areas:

1. Stronger focus on serious violence
2. Continued pressure on tackling ASB
3. Renewed focus on young people
4. New national approach to designing out crime
5. Continuing to reduce reoffending
6. Greater sense of national partnership
7. Freeing up local partners, building public confidence
