Speaking out against violence towards women and girls

NCSN members have been invited to contribute to the Home Office cross-government public consultation on violence against women and girls. There is also an intention from the Government to setup a new advisory group that will look at how schools can prevent violence against women, as well as a review into the increasing sexualisation of teenage girls.

The Together we can end violence against women and girls consultation will look at how attitudes behind violence can be challenged to help make women feel safer via five key themes.
The Home office deadline is 18 May so that members input can be received and assessed prior to the official closing date of May 29th. You can join in the debate via the Home office website http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/about-us/news/speaking-out-against-violence
It would be good to hear views from the frontline practitioners who understand the issues from a local viewpoint. Let us know what you think, via policy@community-safety.net or log-in to put your views across to the policy team.
