A range of national and regional issues will be explored with The Fire Service and MissDorothy.com (the new educational resource that aims to help primary school children aged 7 to 11 assess the dangers to themselves). Also participating will be Greater Manchester Community Safety Partnership.

This Mini Conference will be facilitated by CragRats the award-winning, innovative training company which specialises in the use of actors for enhanced learning experiences.

MC4 Mini Conference 4:   The evolving dimension of Community Cohesion

Speakers: The Audit Commission, South Yorkshire Police and North Wales Police.

Notes:
Migration for work is not new, but the issue has prominence recently because of the rapid rise in the number of migrant workers coming into Britain. Overall international migration is now the main driver of population change in the UK. The steady increase in the numbers and diversity of foreign nationals coming into the UK has led to changes in the demographic and cultural make up of UK communities. Consequently, issues of migration now cut across many policy and service areas, and this has ensured a re - focus of partner activities to support community cohesion, diversity and social inclusion.
