Working in Partnership to Reduce Re-offending and Make Communities Safer: A Consultation
The national Partnerships Event, held by NOMS, on 27 November, saw the launch of four consultations outlining the Government’s programme of work on reducing re-offending. To help build on existing good practice and to engage the efforts of public services more effectively, the Government is asking partners what they think the priorities and focus should be at local, regional, or national levels to further reduce re-offending. The objective is to ensure all key partners continue to work with offenders and their families.
The four consultations are firmly linked together and cover distinct issues associated with re-offending:
1. Reducing Re-Offending Strategic Plan 2008-11
2. NOMS Third Sector Action Plan
3. ‘Believing We Can’
The period of consultation for these three publications ends on 18 February 2008.
